Planning a visit to the Gallo-Roman Museum? Your best bet is to book your ticket in advance. That way you are guaranteed a visit to the museum and we are spared the task of disappointing you at the ticket desk.
The original Roman city wall dating back to the 2nd century was 4.5 km long and roughly 6 m high. Over the centuries many stones from the wall were reused for construction work in the surrounding area (including churches). Nonetheless, the core part of the wall, with its equally spaced towers, has survived, covering a distance of 2 km.
