The low-stimulus visit caters to those visitors who are sensitive to stimuli or simply prefer to explore the permanent exhibition in peace and quiet. We create a pleasant, quiet environment in the museum.

  • The number of visitors is limited.
  • No groups are present.
  • Some audio and video clips are switched off. Other sensory stimuli are indicated in advance with a sign.
  • Our reception staff will not address you spontaneously but naturally they are more than happy to answer your questions.

At the reception desk you can borrow a communication card. You are welcome to bring any items you need to help regulate stimuli. You will also find the sensory-friendly basket at the reception desk, containing a noise-cancelling headset, sunglasses and fidgets. You can take these with you during your visit.

Please note: the temporary Tree of Life exhibition contains numerous stimuli such as music, sound effects, brightly coloured lights, blacklights and strobe lighting. These stimuli form part of the artwork and cannot be reduced.
