Neanderthalersite – Veldwezelt

The geological walls provide a spectacular view of the changes affecting the climate and landscape from 150,000 years ago to the present-day. The Neanderthals who lived here during various periods left their mark.

Discover places of specific interest from a scientific and geological point of view and clay profiles, all under the supervision of a guide. Go down into the former clay pit and back in time, becoming acquainted with our distant cousins: the Neanderthals.
